Fall begins today, so I thought it would be appropriate to begin my blog again. Originally I was going to use this space to write strictly about my collage artwork. Things have changed a bit since May 2008 and my interests have expanded, so I will also be writing about my spinning journey as well. I may even interject some gardening in when something of interest occurs around here.
Yesterday my husband (VG) and I decided to go on a local self guided farm tour. This particular one was a fiber farm tour where the farms specialize in producing fiber for spinning, felting and other fiber crafts. Both farms take the fiber from the sheep through to the final product. I was so excited to learn that one of the farms has fiber available whenever I have a need for more to spin.
I also learned there is a local spinning group that I can join. I'm looking forward to meeting some gals in the area and learning, emphasis on learning. I'm still so new at this and anything I can learn from anyone who has experience can only help me on my journey.

I'm going to try getting started blogging, I'm not accustom to writing publicly so am hoping this will get easier for me.  I'm going to post photos of my artwork and to discuss what is going on in my simple everyday life.
My husband and I live on 5 acres in a very small community in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with 2 dogs and a cat.  This is our second summer here and have just started our first vegetable garden. We are hopeful that we can produce enough to freeze and can for the winter, but are considering this garden an experiment.
Wish me luck with both of these new adventures.
